CD Sell-Off For Charity

This coming Thursday, 22nd of May, when we welcome the wonderful Jocelyn Pettit and Ellen Gira to the Grateful Fred Bijou Cinema Sessions I am going to sell the CD’s in my possession for a £1 each.

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a young Palestinian journalist, currently working within Gaza, who told me about her efforts to raise money to help feed local children in her neighborhood and I tried to think of ways, however small, that I might be able to help.

Because of Grateful Fred’s, I’m lucky enough to be given and sent a lot of CD’s by artists and, as I now have no CD player or any other way to play them, I thought I’d try and sell them for a £1 each.

So I’ll bring them to The Bijou on Thursday and if anyone wants one of them, or a number of them, if they can leave a £1 coin for each one they take I’ll take the total, add my own contribution, and then forward it on to my journalist friend in Gaza.

I wont’ have any change with me so if you are coming along to see Jocelyn, Ellen and our brilliant support artist Naomi Campbell, then please bring some £1 coins with you.

It’s only a tiny gesture but it might make a very small difference to someone.
