Just brief note to let you know, or remind you, that this coming Friday, 20th of June, we have what I know will be a great concert at the Grateful Fred Bijou Cinema Sessions.
From Canada we have the award-winning Canadian songwriter James Keelaghan.
Many of you will be familiar with the legendary Canadian songwriter Stan Rogers. Well, James’s voice and songs are very much in the same vein and to the same high standard.
His awards, accolades, concert and festival appearances are too many to mention here so here’s video of one of his concert appearances that will show you just what I mean…
I am so pleased that opening the concert will be one of Liverpool’s most exciting duos who’s arrangements and harmonies I am certain you will love.
Visions of Albion
My own early ventures into performing music, with the band Petticoat & Vine, started my lifelong love of two, three and four part harmony singing. For me there is no better a sound than multiple voices singing together in harmony. Those of us who saw Bob Jones and Bob White performing at the March 5th Grateful Fred Night at The Atkinson will know what I mean.
So I am really excited to be welcoming Sam and Dan of Visions Of Albion to Grateful Fred’s at The Bijou.
To illustrate just what I mean about their voices here’s a little taste…

There are still tickets available at just £12 from: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/southport-bijou-cinema/t-lnpdrno
Please come and join us for what I know will be an evening of wonderful music and song.
Till then…
Peace and Love (and do we need it!!)
